When I had a TR 7... my lucas headlamp motor relays kept burning out...
they were a sort of blue cylindrical affair... that cost bucks!!!  I
finally went to Radio Shack... and found a cubical relay, with the same
male connectors... at the time, they were $1.99 each... I put 'em in...
an didn't have to replace 'em for a couple years...  (probably the guy
who bought my car hasn't had to deal with 'em either!! )  
 
Anyways... I suggest... since you probably don't care about being
"original"... just take it to radio shack... or a similar electronic's
store...  just educated yourself a bit on what sort of load it's
demanding, etc... and go for it!!
