Ok, would-be TR4 judges. Anyone care to try to document the change from
laequered cloth-covered wire to plastic-insulated wire on subassemblies on
the TR4? Can that be done, or is that a classic case of "blimey, mate,
just found another case of those bloody sidelamps in a corner. Get these
to the assembly hall straightaway 'afore Stokes sees 'em!"

Andy,
Believe it or not, I'm doing just that for TRA. I'm co-authoring the TRA
TR4/4A Judging Guidelines. The initial draft, all 150 pages or so, is due
out at the TRA National Meeting next week. Yes, Art Kelly gets a copy of
every thing we do. He's one of our "sanity" checkers. Laquered wire is
one of the things we care about, as well as finding a good copy of the TR4
rubber footwell mats (everybody threw those things away and went to carpet)
and several other items (like why does CT2966L`s rear axle have a green and
white painted dots on the rear axle? My guess is that it signified that it
was a 3.7 TR4 unit - any other ideas? What color flashings would a 4.11
rear carry? ).
We weren't trying to "out anal" the TR2/3 Judging Guidelines, but I think
we did...
