All the '73-'76 seats crumble the lateral support.  This foam
is made of a different material.

My fix if all else is fine is to have just the vertical foams 
cut, popping the side piece bottoms, this can be shoved up from
the bottom saving an otherwise good seat, usually needs a diaphram
as well.

Side pieces push down 1/2" to unclip the cardboard plate clip.
