Hey All,

This falls into the 'What is wrong with us' category.

My son is turning 3 this weekend, and he wanted a car with doors and a
hood that opens and closes. Well I went to Toys-r-us on Sat and could
find much of anything. Matchbox had some cars that almost fit the bill,
but not quite. They were selling them in groups of 5 for $6. The I saw
the 'Classic Matchbox' showcase they had setup. These are the Matchbox
cars from when I was a kid (late 60's-early 70's). There they were the
cars I use to play with! "Oh baby, I'm buying him this!" the voice in
the back of my head went. They were being sold in groups of four, so I
figure they will run about $20, but what the hey, it's for my son. I
look up they price and they start at $45 and run up to $60. (of course
the set I wanted to buy was the $60 one). I balked.

Well today I'm bouncing around the net and stumble over to Triple-C.
They are selling TR6's in various colors for $25, $30 with S&H. Takes
about 3 seconds to make the purchase. No doors that open and close, but
hey it's dad's car he has to love it.

The point is I balked at spending $60 on four cars, but snatched one
Triumph for $30. Can someone explain Why I feel so good about this? ;-)

Later,
JHD IV
