I am to assume that there is no spin on kit and no oil cooler...so right
off hand I'd say that the oil was cooked to such a temp(ie temp caused by
180 hp in a 6 engine) that the cast iron in that particular part of the
block has been heat fatigued...or it just could be that the original
casting had a major flaw in that part...did the piece that broke out have
uniform metal around it or was there air pockets?
