Tom Call wrote asking for a source for "nyloc" nuts
and other fasteners. Odds are there is a municipal
airport near you and odds are thereia a business
there catering to the DIY airplane owners. They
should have a full selection of nylocs as well as
aircraft grade bolts and washers. I used to go to
one that had grade 8 and above in bulk at very good
prices.
Just as a reminder, "nyloc" or nylon insert lock nuts
should NOT be reused. They never grip as well the second
time, especially if they are few years old and have been
in an engine compartment subjected to heat. A triumph will
generally use only a few sizes, buy a dozen or so of
each and keep them on hand.
