John:
Currently, my car has the stock rubber bushes (though new) in the lower
wishbones, and polyurethane in the upper wishbones. I wish that at the
time I could have located poly for the lower as well. For a while I drove
on homemade delrin bushings, which are very, very hard. (and very tough!)
I had to change them though, because the steel sleeves I made for them
became elongated, creating alot of slop and movement that the delrin was
supposed to get rid of. I didn't mind the ride, but that's just me. It
handled great, but the new rubber is not bad, either. I recommend that you
find poly bushings for everything. It seems to me that they are just a
little harder than new rubber, but, they never wear out!
Good luck!
