Ken, I can't give you specific details off the top of my head, and I
don't have any 1974 TR6 diagrams, but I did have a similar problem with
a 1974 Spitfire 1500. I ended up bypassing the SMITHS control module by
running a wire directly from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid
(white w/red wire, IMS).
You might also try just unplugging the wires to the seat sensors or belt
buckles; sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't!
