Yep

I've spoken to Moss order takers that were Knew TR3s pretty well and I hung
up on a RF level II person who didn't know TR3s very well and wouldn't
transfer me to one of his co-workers who did. I did not have a Roadster
Factory TR3 catalogue in front of me for some reason, and the parts I was
after were not in the mini catalogue. I wasn't confident that the part he
was looking at was the one I was trying to describe. Aftrwards, I looked
the part up in the Moss Catalogue (Thanks Eric for such a good job on the
new catalogue) and ordered the part.

Most of the time I find TRF level II and Moss order takers know TR3s well
enough to take my order. If you need to discuss technical stuff, both
companys have people dedicated to answering technical questions.

>From what I have seen over the years:

The Roadster Factory has the edge in parts quality and level of support for
Triumph events.

Moss has the edge in breadth of parts available, percentage of parts
actually in stock and lowest backorder time.

An interesting side note, A Southern California Land Rover parts house,
British Pacific is owned and operated by Triumph/Land Rover enthusiasts.
The owner says he studied TRF and the "mistakes that Charles has made and
tried to model his compny from what everyone keeps saying the ideal
Roadster Factory would be.

Like Charles, he is focuses on quality and directly supports large Land
Rover events bringing parts to sell, and works very hard to develop
customer satisfaction and loyalty. Unlike Charles, he plows back a very
large chunk of the profits into inventory and does his darndest to minimize
back order time.

By the way, they are a source of Lucas coloured striped wiring if you want
to make up your own subharneses and they have all the various Lucas
connectors & electrical stuff.

Also. Rover's North in the NorthEast, carries the proper brake line
fittings to allow you to make up your own brake lines with new fittings.
