Van:
If you have access to a surface plate and an indicator you can very easily
check one flange relative to the other and also the squarenees of the
flanges to the wheel center. Doing it on the car is easier, but you will
measure the runout of the hub and bearings as well. I would think that
.030" runout would be acceptable. A machine shop with a fairly big press
should be able to straighten all but the worst wheel. Check the price of
new wheels before you get too deep into this, though.
