I think that is a pretty good deal from where
I sit.
Stags are rare and parts are even more rare, but
drive train components are rebuildable using current
'off the shelf' parts.
TRF may be the best bet for that.
As for the rest of the car, frame condition should
be #1 priority. That has to be solid. Auto transmission
should go into gear without delay. If a problem lies
there, rebuilding that could turn into a career, swapping
it to a manual may be a more realistic option.
As for the compression, you would like to see a minimum
of 110 psi. The Stag has a 2997cc V8 and the factory compression
is not at my fingertips but is at home. I will send that when
I get it.
