A friend told me this is a good way to quickly wear out a throwout bearing.  


Two other things I've got to say on the subect,  My 4 was giving me similar
problems, it turned out that the cylinder bore was a tad worn and despite new
rebuild kit,  there was still a tiny amount of leakage past the seal.  Check
real carefully.

The other thing I noticed when having my p3dal hole welded up to fix the slop
at the pin,  it wouldn't be too hard to drill the hole a tad off center and
thus get a little more travel out of the piston.  

Of course if you push the piston out the back of the cylinder, I never heard
of you, and I never wrote this.
