Good Morning all(well its morning over here anyway),
Just wanna say thanks for all the help and advice with regards my
present problems concerning my clutchless Spit. Well the damn thing is still
motionless(an autobox might be worth thinking about if this keeps up :-) ),
I've re-bled the Hydraulics, rebuilt the master cylinder, everything I know,
but I just can't get the bloody slave to push the release bearing far enough
onto the pressure plate to release the clutch. In desparation I even removed
the slave, turned it through 180 degrees and filed a slot in the opposite side
but further back so that the whole thing could be located further forward,(see
ascii diagram) hopefully giving it that bit of extra travel that it needs, but
no it still didn't work.

Sorry about the drawing, I'm no Rolf Harris(who!)
I've a feeling that theres either problems with the new pressure plate or the
actual friction plate may be for a MK 1 or 2, therefore be a bit to small.
Whether that would cause all the problems I don't know. Anyway, time to go for
a coffee,
Bye all
Rich.
