Looking at the picture; the distributor is on the right head driven
by one of the cam shafts. The distributor cap is there but no wires. I
believe fuel injection is driven off the left head.
The Ford V8 Performance Guide by Bill Carroll lists this engine @
475hp at 8000 rpm; max qualifying rpm - 9200
Max racing rpm - 8800.

The 1964 DOHC version is quite impressive: over 425 HP from only 255 cu.
in. and weighing just over 400 lbs! Looking at the photos, I have one
question about the 1964 engine: Where's the distributor?
The 1968 turbo version is equally impressive: 750 HP from only 168 cu. in. I
wonder how much boost they ran?
Looks like both of them are too wide to fit in a Tiger, not to mention the
center exhaust issue!
Keep on Tigering!
