Yes, I too noticed a majority of 1995-1998 Explorers at a local dealers clunker
back lot. I remembered that Ford bragged about producing about 500,000 Explorers
a year during that period, so that together with their relative high fuel
consumption
explains why we're seeing a lot of them in recycling yards and clunker lots.
I know that only a relative few had 302's, but still, what a waste if the motors
were still good. Good point, Tom.
