Speaking of water in the rear bearing. If anyone buys a vehicle with a trailer hitch they would be advised to check the rear end. I've known 2 people who bought trucks and vans that were used for towing boats....both had a rear end full of water and worn gears. When the previous owners had backed down a boat ramp they must have been getting the rear of the towing vehicle into the water. Apparently these things aren't made to go under water. Mark L. |
