Frank, The MKII parts list shows the cap as C4TZ-6766-A (would be the
same for the MKI) "C4TZ" would be a truck part number. This is a black
painted 900 nipple cap.
I have original chrome caps (not for sale) in their box (one Autolight,
one FoMoCo) with the bent 900 smog nipple (they face up, but can be
turned horizontal) with part number C4DZ-6766-B which have ink written
superseded part number C5ZZ-6766-D (Mustang part number) written on them
(this is the straight short nipple).
It appears Ford only used the black and chrome caps with a long 900
nipple in 1964, you can find them used sometimes on 1964/65 Ford cars
and trucks. The nipple can be rotated to horizontal carefully with a
tight fitting wooden dowl inserted in the nipple hole and turning it.
