Performance car yes, but the muscle car era began with the GTO (my opinion).
Despite Max Wedge Cars (factory built racers) Olds and Buicks with 3 deuce set
ups, big motored Galaxies.

The muscle car was American built, mid sized, two door with American V-8 and
a back seat and built between '60 and '73. Overlaps exist but this definition
is used regularly in nearly all publications and books.

I'm out of pennies so no more on this subject for me.

Moonstone

Interesting story. I tried to join Central Valley Muscle Cars with the Tiger.
Proved to them that it had an American V-8, two doors, back seat (stuffed
both my daughters into back of Ms. Moonstone and drove around the parking lot
honking my feeble little horn) and Norms book with the Chysler connection to
Tigers. Conclusion, I bought my wife a very original and cherry Chevelle for
"Her"
birthday and was made a member in due form. My friend Spinuzi even tried to
get me an associate membership to no avail. Next car 1970 AMX with the go pack
and a built 401.
