Was reading the February 2004 issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines last night
and one of the editors was praising a new coolant from Evans Cooling Systems
called NPG+. No water in the system with the following benefits:
NPG+ waterless coolant virtually eliminates boil over in gasoline or diesel
engines - the waterless coolant allows engines to tolerate running hotter,
without boiling over, and allows the cooling system to run at very low or no
pressure. Because there is no water in the system engines operating with
NPG+ will be free from corrosion and electrolysis, and the engines will run
well no matter how hard they are driven or how hot or cold the environment
is.
Nice website at http://www.evanscooling.com <http://www.evanscooling.com/> .
They also sell higher performance water pumps and larger pulleys. Kind of
interesting - no or little vapor, lower pressures, no corrosion from
dissimilar metals, ... $25 per gallon.
Anyone tried it??
This issue also has an article on Toploaders.
Spent the day at the Barrett Jackson auction. No Tigers. But some really
nice cars.
