Powder coating creates two specific areas of concern. The first is contamination from the media used to prep the metal. The second is the amount of heat used. On the bottom end powder coating goes on at about 425-450 degrees F, but can be applied at higher degrees in excess of 700 F. The higher the temp the more hardened and "brittle" the finish will be.
