I have seen other AH 3000's with the antenna that
clips to the rear bumper.  Not a bad place as its
as far away from the interference source (engine)
as you can get. Requires a super long antenna
lead.

I found an AM/FM radio (Clarion or perhaps Sony)
that fit inside the original mounting plate.  Then
I replaced the face plate with the one from the
Sunbeam radio and moved the AM/FM switch to
the side.  Looks stock except the pushbuttons
don't quite match.  Of course the numbers of the
face don't match but the buttons work for you
favorite station.  Few people have noticed the
change until some realizes he is listening to an
FM stereo station. Of course I kept original
radio so I can put everything back if need be.
