Whoops, I just looked closer at the Flowmaster website, and my mufflers
can't be 80 Series as these always come with a dual outlet. Maybe these are
an older model? Canada only? (Kidding)

I wish I could help more...

Shaun,

A quick call to Flowmaster (800-544-4761) revealed a number of
interesting facts about the new, quieter Delta Flow series.

1) The FlowMaster 50 Series Delta Flow is 4 x 9 3/4 x 17 inches. Part
Number (not on part) is 942052 for the 2 inch tubes center in / side out.

2) If this is too long to fit, the louder 40 Series Delta Flow is 4 x 9
3/4 x 13 inches long. Part 942042 for the 2 inch tubes center in / side
out. They are available in other in/out alignments, but this is what is
on my turbo muffs.

The original LAT 2 inch system used straight-through glass or steel packs.

3) There is a heat shield strap on to keep heat from the floor boards,
and maybe deflect gas drips from the fuel pump, if that is a concern.
Part 51017 for the 50 series and 51013 for the 40 series. Attaches with
included stainless straps.

Unlike the speed merchant's catalogs, they do make these mufflers in 2
inch sizes, which should easily handle 302 CID, and fit in the frame
pass through.

You can order a free FlowMaster catalog on-line at
http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/

The web site shows a "relative loudness" bar chart for the stock,
regular Flowmaster, and Delta Flow design.

"H" pipes can be used, as shown in Larry Paulick's Performance Tuning
Tips, and 1 1/2 inch size is more than adequate to balance flow. This
also reduces loudness.
