Your comments are not without merit, BUT almost all of these environmental
laws have been passed with the perfervid support of the California
delegation to the Congress, the largest delegation of our several states.
Look to the voting records of your two Senators, for heaven's sakes! The
last California Senator to have a comprehension of both states' rights and
environmental realities was George Murphy, and that was back in the days
when I lived out there, more than three decades back.
In other words, if Californians would quit electing big-government nuts to
the FEDERAL Congress, the rest of us would have an easier time at getting
the system set up as it was meant to be, with each state handling its own
environmental concerns.
