Sure sounds like you (you-all in Texas) have a vacuum leak in your Holley. If it back fired a couple of time you can bet the power valve is blown. Anyway with the engine running and when the RPM drops, spray some Gumout around the base of the carb and other vacuum sources. If that checks out and the timing, etc, are OK, then it time to pull the old Holley. Been there done that. Dave Johnson, B382002668, Aurora, IL |
