Hi guys, Actually, a "frame up" restoration refers to the total restoration of a car with a separate frame. A "bare shell" restoration is the type of restoration that a Tiger might receive. "Semantics" is the STUDY of the meanings of/in language. In this case, the difference has real meaning and the misuse of the terms might make one wonder if the "restoration" really IS a restoration. Accurate use of language tends to minimize misunderstandings and lawsuits. Regards, Ray |
