For those of you that asked, the first thing that I did was remove the top plate of the 2BBL and observe the float and needle valve. With the ignition on, the pump kept pumping until the pressure built up so much that the fuel started leaking past the seat after about 20 secs. When I shut off the ignition I tried to relieve the pressure in the line, I pushed down on the float and the fuel flew everywhere. Thank goodness the engine was cool. Anyhows, the consensus is to go with the aftermarket fuel pump. Thanks to all that responded. |
