Hello all,
I'm a fairly new Tiger owner, and digest-list-lurker for the last 2 years.
The car in question is a MK1A, B9471573. It has been in my wife's family
since 1970, and we ended up with it late in 1997. It had been sitting since
1990, so I got in running (rebuilt the carb and replaced all the tune-up
stuff) and rebuilt all the brakes (removed the booster for now) and replaced
all the rubber brake lines. We probaly put 500-600 miles on it between
November '97 and January '98 (mild winter that year in PA), when we moved
from SE Pennsylvania to Michigan, and in April '98 bought a house with no
garage with plans to add one on. The Tiger went back into storage in PA,
although it was started every two weeks, and driven around on occasion.
Anyway, the garage was a pretty major deal (it's attached to the house,
~1300 sqft, with 800 sqft of future living space above, etc..), but now it
is done and this weekend we finally made it back to PA to pick it up. So I
was wondering how many other Tiger owners there are in the Detroit area.
I've seen two at the SAAC shows (one was John Logan), and talked via e-mail
to Mark Rudnicki.
