Had a Vega, and the Porsche. Porsche solved that problem in
the late 50's, and included little dimples in the walls to
retain the oil. The secret, then, was how to chrome
aluminum and have it stick. You DONT use chrome rings on
chrome walls. They used iron rings, so they will wear
instead of the bore. Guess Chevy didn't copy it right, just
