Deluxe Shotgun Outfitting

O.K., so I tear apart my first car and there's tar paper inside the right door
and nada on the left; I thought it was probably p.o. mods.  Then I'm into my
second car (Tiger entropy is a speciality here), and the right inside door
looks like a lousy roofing job and the left is ungummed factory paint; uh,
geeze, coincidence.  Now Steve describes the same thing.  At the risk of
divulging "authentic factory methodology' (obviously Tiger specific, they
didn't even paint Alpines, did they), WHY?
