ar the British Motorcar Club of=0ASouthern New Mexico will host the event=
which promises to be bigger and better=0Athan ever. This year the event =
will have several expanded and added features=0Aincluding a sit-down dinn=
er, an English Tea, and, for the first time, the=0Aautomotive exhibition =
will benefit Casa de Peregrinos, the Las Cruces=0AEmergency Food Bank.=
=0A=0A"We confidently expect to have well over 60 cars participating this=
year,"=0AClub President Ed Townley says. "We'll have rare and exotic Bri=
tish motorcars=0Afrom the 30's to the 90's on display. Probably close to =
a million dollars in=0Arare vehicles will be shown on the grass under the=
trees on Sunday, April 26."=0AThe list of car marques expected to partic=
ipate reads like a "who's who" of=0Aclassic British vehicles: Sunbeam, Mo=
rgan, MG, Jaguar, Austin-Healey, Lotus,=0ATriumph, TVR, Hillman, Elva, an=

"Meet and Greet" happy hour get together with hors=0Ad'oeuvres and no-ho=
st bar is set for Friday evening, April 24, the event=0Areally gets under=
way on Saturday when a Boot Sale and a Road Rallye through=0Athe beautif=
ul Mesilla Valley are scheduled. Transportation to nearby Olde=0AMesilla =
will be available for those who feel the need for a shopping=0Aopportunit=
y on the picturesque Mesilla Plaza. In response to numerous comments=0Afr=
om attendees in previous years, a buffet dinner has been added to the=0AS=
aturday evening schedule.=0A=0ASunday morning the participating vehicles =
will form up for a parade=97some have=0Acalled it a "rolling concours"=97=
through Las Cruces to Young Park where they=0Awill be on display from 10 =
AM until 2 PM when trophies will be awarded. While=0Athe cars are on disp=
lay several fun events are tentatively planned including=0Atraditional Br=
itish Darts and a Piston Toss, a traditional British event where=0Aan aut=
omotive piston is pitched for distance and accuracy. Several hundred=0Asp=
ectators are expected to examine the cars while they are on display.=0A=
=0AThe car show classes will be set based on the number of cars of the va=
rious=0Amarques that participate. In addition to class trophies, trophies=
will be=0Aawarded for People's Choice, Best of Show, Most Distant Entry,=
