Richard,
My Tiger has one, came with it when I bought it 18 mo ago. Its mounted
under the left fender just aft of the headlight. One day last July, on the
eve of the PTC meet in WA, the pressure hose came off and pumped all the
engine oil overboard before you could say "oh my gosh!" while going down
the highway. My wife had the car at the time and called me saying "honey,
the car just slowed down and stopped, now it won't even turn over." Engine
seized, later developed a rod knock. Am now replacing said engine WITHOUT
a remote oil filter.

Just curious here, does anyone use a remote oil filter system on their
Tiger? You know the type that has a special adapted you put on the
engine in place of the filter, and two hoses that go from that adapter
up to another special cast aluminum piece that has either a single or
dual filters hanging down. These allow increasing the oil capacity by
one to 2 quarts (1qt for the extra filter + 1qt for the oil in the
hoses).
I have always liked these things, and just wondered if any Tiger owners
were using them.
