Dean, from Sprinzel himself, Speedwell is a blue flower, John's Father
ran a printing shop and the phone number exchange was SP-eedwell -
So when John took over the shop to run a performance shop, he kept the
same phone number and named the shop around the phone exchange.
Now you know the REST of the story.
BTW, I do have a license plate frame with that phone number on it
hanging in the garage if anyone wants to make a call ;)
