I am rebuilding a 1275 for my daughter's (soon to be) Bugeye.
I have new pistons in honed cylinders, and new rod and main bearings on
a polished crank shaft.
A machine shop did the honing and polishing.
I slipped the pistons down to the crank by hand so they are not tight.
I was turning the crank by hand with only main bearings and it was a
little tight when the rod bearings went in.
Then I torqued all the bearings and installed the flywheel.
A large wrench on the front nut along with a prybar on the flywheel and
it does not move.
Std bearings on stock rods and a std polished crank.
What gives? (I wish it gave)
It turned over OK until I torqued the bearings.
