Hello Leo,
Fantastic you get to drive 'er. I'm proud of ya Leo. .. and yes
as someone has already said, the bias ply tires will make
sprites..skittish. most especially if you are using that same old
rubber you had on 'er at LotO. its way too hard. Save those for
shows. Victoria British sells KEVLAR reinforced hoses, where Moss
does not. they're only a couple a bucks more. Well worth the
peace of mind.
As to spares.. FRANK C. has a "bag-o-spares" list that he
carries. He'll give you the best idea of what you may need on a
longer trip. (but he even carries AXLES so you may want to prune
down). When I drove back to LotO, I carried
extra spark plugs
2 extra plug wires
front brake hose
spare dizzy already adjusted with cap, rotor, condensor
(i have crane unit-the dizzy in case the crane fails)
Spare crank pulley
(i've had two go bad on me! and this one is going!)
1 gallon of gas
1 gallon of coolant
Bill M. had his trailer packed with more parts including a spare
starter, fuel pump and generator.
I don't carry a spare fuel pump for the red thing because mine's
electric and i have a fuel pressure regulator with gauge under
the hood. I can use ANY pressure FACET pump from NAPA so there's
no point carrying one around all the time.
Wait for frank to weigh in. I had his list as definitive, but
lost all my data about 6 months ago.. (computer crash)
