I am in the proccess of making copies of all my original interior vinyl &
hardura bits.
The originals are in very poor condition.
I have all the kick panels made up, and I am now working on the hardura mats.
I have a few questions.
On the rear boot hardura mat, along it's rear edge, is a foled and sewn over
"hem" of about 2 inches.
Why is there such a large hem here? Did something go through it?
Wiring harness? Cord to hold mat in place?
I am missing the mat directly behind the seats, but I have good photos to make
a duplicate.
That mat has two cut outs for the top bows to slip into when they are in the
stored position.
At this location in the cockpit sheet metal there are two screw holes located
at a diagonal to each other.
Was there a piece of hardware that was mounted at these holes, under the mat,
that supported the bows?
If so, what did this part look like?
I have a set of the original cardboard panels that were on each side of the
boot. They have a light gray
finish. I also have a single panel from another car. It is a black finish.
I am quite certain the gray panels went with the red interiors. I presume the
black panel went with a black
interior. Are these the only colors the boot cardboard panels came in?
