OK, folks, just how hard is it to rebuild one of these Datsun 5-speeds? Mine
has been building up a bit of a whine and it is getting worse. Rivergate has
a rebuild kit for $184, but I have no detectable experience in transmission
rebuilding. Local trans shops are telling me $350 to $400 in labor charges
plus whatever else needs done, so I would rather do it myself if it is not
rocket science. Anybody done one?
