Please don't misunderstand; I'm the LAST guy you will ever hear saying
anything against the durability of an MG. After all, I've "lived" with
MGs for well over 40 years, now.
My point was that at least some American products are, once again, of
good quality & durability.

In support of the other side, in my search for a car I talked with a
mechanic who has a '74 Midget with 600,000 miles. He has, of course,
done a
bit of work on it. He also said he once drove it at 120 mph.
