Thanks Chris,
That's what I was looking for. Most of the counter people I've dealt
with around here have never heard of MG when they ask me for the make
and then are surprised when it comes up on their screen. I'll give this
a try tomorrow.
Unfortunately I don't think its the cap or the rotor now because I
swapped out the dizzy for a 25D4 I had that I know works and that didn't
solve the problem. The car was running great up until that point
yesterday when it went dead on the way home. It had started right up
when I left work and I drove about 2 - 3 miles in the heat here
yesterday which was pretty brutal. I was going about 55 when the engine
just cut out. Luckily I was able to coast far enough to get off the road
into a parking lot. I could have sworn yesterday that I had spark from
the coil but I didn't have any today. The coil was incredibly hot
yesterday. Today I tried a different coil that I had laying around and
the different dizzy that was set up with points & condenser and no spark
anywhere that I could tell. It was way too hot here today for me to do
any more work on it and I was getting way too frustrated so I'll have to
come back to it another day when the weather and my attitude are both
better.
Thanks again,
Robert
