No. It does not make any difference. The driveshaft is balanced as a unit 
and simply refuses to care about the trans or the diff. However, there is 
always the guy who thinks that it makes a difference and will make you 
wonder whether you screwed up. It certainly doesn't hurt anything to scribe 
it.
