I gotta agree with da Cap'n on this one. If you want longevity, break it in. If you want an excuse to pull it apart and try a different cam, drive it like Frank. My 1987 Duster was retired with 235,000 miles on its 2.2 and the engine was NEVER opened. My 1995 Escort was passed to my daughter with 180,000 miles and now has more than the Duster did and its engine has NEVER been opened. Sure works for me. David Lieb 1972 Blue |
