My mom and dad were childhood sweethearts in Astoria,
NY (Queens).  The corner drug store was Walken's Drug,
supposedly the best egg creams (Queens technically is
Lawn Guy Land).  Mr. Walken stopped working when his
son Christopher hit it big as an actor.  My dad's
friend Tony DiBenedetto used to sing for nickels out
front of Walken's before he lost a few letters and
changed his last name to Bennett.
