Not surprised at that. Nonetheless, it would be superfluous. As the other
poster mentioned, all you need to do is to slip the top springs into place
with the shoes just in front of where they go, set the bottom spring into
place and then slip them into place, using the shoes themselves to leverage
them into place, then put in the retainers. No big deal at all, just MAKE
SURE that you get the shoes oriented correctly! I have disassembled several
to find that the shoes were not correct. the gap at the end of the linig
should be at the top for the back shoe and at the bottom for the front. Or
did I get that backwards? No time to run outside and pull a wheel to check
just now. BTW, this is the technique described in the Bentley manual, too.
