If you simply clamp a pair of ViceGrips onto the axle flange so that the
back of the upper jaw is wedged against the slave cylinder, it will hold
that sucker (OK, you are right, it doesn't suck, it pushes) firmly into
place. That and a screwdriver to pry the clip into place OVER the top are
all that it takes for me. I only have had 1970 to 1974 Midgets, but none of
the five I have had so far have had anything BUT the three-eared clips.
