I have spent the last few hours putting the brake back plates together and
the subject of this email is about how I feel. Plus, I need to know if I am
the only one who has problems putting new wheel cylinders on? I even used
one of those damn cir clip tools and it still practically ate one of the cir
clips and almost ruined the other one. Now I know I am not a complete
moron. My friends may think different. But, I dont.
After I got one put together I mounted it back to the rear end housing and
noticed that the cir clip is sticking between the back plate and the rear
end mounting point. Is this OK? I tried turning the cir clip so that the
open end of the cir clip would not be between the plate and the mount point,
but the bleed nipple is in the way and it wont rotate to that
position!!!!!!!
Is there a better way? What the?!?!?!?!?!?
What am I doing wrong?
These cir clips are very wide. Is that the problem? Can you buy smaller
( not as wide body ) some place to replace what comes with the brake
cylinder?
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Or if you just get a few laughs,
thats OK too. At least I have vented a bit.
