Oh, I sent the request to the list as sort of a last resort, after checking
with most of my friends (few kids left at home) around here. Biggest part of
the problem is that at least in this area GSN is only piped through about 1/3
of the cable/dish networks. But it is true that I thought my friends were at
least moderately intelligent, and most of them at least rent movie tapes.
Seems they don't know how to program VCR's any better than normal adults.
Good thing we have lists because out of the responses I got it seems pretty
likely that one of them will get something on the tape. Anyway Amy is known
(and
well liked) to most of the lists old timers, so it isn't as if I wanted
something totally foreign to the group in general.
I'm sure you are also aware that people with advanced technical skill are
able to make a simple operation so difficult as to be incomprehensible to
normal
people, which is what certain husbands have done to our video system.
Keep the faith and don't let any thumbs get in the way of all that digital
jazz.
