I have the same problem with my '77 Midget from time to time. I just push
the PIECE OF CRAP OEM plug wires back on the plugs and it runs fine again. I
will be buying Magnecor wires as soon as I get a house.
If you run the engine while it is missing for any length of time, you may
foul a plug. Take them out and clean and re-gap them when you replace the
wires.
