Yes, they are... You have both 5 and 6 speed transmissions available... Most
of the Miatas on the dealer lot (El Cajon, So Cal) had six speed... and the
one I drove had a six speed. Very nice, but geared so it was still pretty
"buzzy" at highway speeds. Don't think it's much of an improvement on the
five speed my friend 1990 Miata has.

By the way I totally agree with the "Miata is a modern LCB" statement.
