Ed,
My facts are correct. It was the other guy who was confused. The 200 is
pretty much junk. The Powerglide is a great trans (better be cause that's
what is between my knees on my FE dragster). My first one was in a 65'
Impala SS. Until recently, I have preferred 350's. But after seeing the
results of an "all out" 700R4 conversion we did in a 72' 454 Chevelle, I'm
converted (pun intended).

Better get you "facts" corrected. I had PowerGlide in a 1959 4 door h/t
Impala with 283 & 4bbl that took Street Eliminator Trophy at dragstrip in
1960. SIX FOOT trophy!! (er, Dad found in trunk and was NOT happy but MY
name on car's title!)
PowerGlide "Was/Is" the most, IMHO, BULLIT PROOF tranny GM has EVER put
out. Over 90 in "Lo"!!
Cheers...........

'70 El Camino w/375 HP motor and "slush box" tranny that I WISH
