Doesn't make much difference what grade--the higher grades have higher 
pre-load figures, but lose pre-load dramatically after the first use.   
BTW--we have had a discussion about replacing Original grade 5 bolts with 
grade 8's on here before.  The most common opininion is to replace bolts with 
whatever grade was originally used.  Especially in critical safety 
connectors, it makes more sense to go to the stronger bolts.  One reason for 
staying with Grade 5s was that they will "stretch" before they give and the 
Grade 8s are more brittle.  This is fallacious becaues the Grade 8s will not 
break until long after teh 5s have stretched their limits and have failed.
