I had to bore mine out .060 oversize due to a broken ring when I got the
car, this brings it up to just under 1 liter. Recently I swapped the
head with one from a 1098 casting #12G295 shaved .060" new guides, valve
springs, valves and hardened exhaust seats, along with a set of 1 1/4
SU's and a LCB header. This has allowed the engine to breathe a lot
better. the car always seemed to run out of steam at about 4500RPM now
it pulls happily to 6000 RPM, which is what I have my rev limiter set
at.
59 Bugeye 948cc bored 60 over, stock cam, 3.9 ratio Diff, Datsub 5-speed
trans, lightened flywheel, Drum brakes all around.
